Five years on cover Five years on: continuing faith journeys of those who left the church. Alan Jamieson, Jenny McIntosh, Adrienne Thompson. 136pp. Portland Research Trust, NZ. $24.99.

To these accounts are added insights from 6 years of running Spirited Exchanges groups for church leavers and those struggling with church focused expressions of the Christian faith.

Also by Jamieson: Called Again: in and beyond the deserts of faith. $29.95.

God’s politics: why the American Right gets it wrong and the Left doesn’t get it. Jim Wallis. 384pp. Lion, UK. $19.99

And, while the Right argues that God’s way is their way, the Left pursues an unrealistic separation of religious values from morally grounded political leadership.

"Jim Wallis is that rare thing: a US evangelist who doesn’t believe that Jesus wants tax cuts or to invade Iraq. And more and more people are taking notice." Independent Magazine
